West of England maintains financial strength ratings with two interactive rating agencies, A.M.Best (AMB) and Standard & Poor’s (S&P). A.M. Best is a specialist agency that focuses on the insurance industry. S&P is the world's leading index provider and source of independent credit ratings and provides ratings for all of the members of the International Group of P&I Clubs.
West of England is rated:
A.M. Best: Financial Strength Rating (FSR) of A- (excellent) with a stable outlook, a rating indicating, as defined by AMB, “an excellent ability to meet outstanding insurance obligations”.
Standard & Poor’s: Long-term Financial Strength Rating of A- (strong) with a stable outlook. An insurer rated ‘A’ has “strong financial security characteristics”.
