WEST OF ENGLAND (LUXEMBOURG) SA – SENIOR MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENTS – SEPTEMBER 2017
I am pleased to advise that at their meeting on February 8, 2017 the Board of Directors unanimously agreed that Tom Bowsher will succeed Peter Spendlove as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of West of England Insurance Services (Luxembourg) SA with effect from September 20, 2017, the date of the Club’s next Annual General Meeting.
Tom Bowsher will retain management responsibility for Underwriting and Business Development for which he has been responsible since 2015.
The Board also unanimously agreed that Peter Spendlove will become Chairman of the West of England Insurance Services (Luxembourg) SA with effect from September 20, 2017 until May 2018.
Tom Bowsher joined the West of England’s management in 2001 as an underwriter and was appointed as Underwriting Director in June 2013 before becoming Head of Underwriting and Business Development in May 2015.
Peter Spendlove joined the West of England’s Claims department in August 1978 and, after establishing the Club’s Hong Kong office in 1981, became Underwriting Director in September 1990 and Managing Director in February 1995.
