Through an arrangement with Sparks & Co, Members requiring guidance on the carriage of steel may request a Steel Information Pack (video and written material).
The Club has also worked closely with a leading ship management company and a nautical software developer to produce a computer based training (CBT) programme covering the subject of chart corrections in depth. For junior officers CBT is rapidly becoming the shipboard training method of choice, particularly if the programme offers a high degree of interactivity.
The package contains over four hours of material and incorporates many graphics and video clips, broken down into several modules. It also includes questions which must be answered successfully after finishing each module and a comprehensive assessment on completion. Copies are available to Members on request.
