New Series of Loss Prevention Health Posters Launched

The Club has produced a new series of loss prevention posters to raise awareness amongst crewmembers about some of the common health conditions that our claims experience shows are frequently experienced onboard.
Entitled “REACT!”, the posters urge crewmembers to look out for the signs and symptoms of key illnesses commonly suffered onboard. The posters also provide crucial first aid steps that can be taken, until more advance medical treatment can be provided.
The first posters in the series cover the following topics:
“Heart Attack” – What is a Heart Attack, the signs and symptoms to look out for and the first aid to be applied to the patient.
“Cardiac Arrest” – What is a Cardiac Arrest, the signs and symptoms to look out for and the first aid to be applied to the patient.
“CPR” – How to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Members will be sent complimentary copies of the three posters for use on their vessels in due course. If further copies are required these can be downloaded as PDF files here Loss Prevention Posters or request from the Loss Prevention Department.
