Colombia - Loading of Coal Suspended at Puerto Drummond

P&I correspondents P&I Colombia S.A. have advised that coal loading activities at the American Port Company’s terminal at Puerto Drummond have been suspended due to the company’s failure to install a conveyor belt system in lieu of barges by 1 January 2014 in accordance with national legislation. The suspension order will reportedly remain in force until the requirements have been fulfilled. At the present time it is unclear how long this situation is likely to continue.
