Board of Directors and Members’ Committee Meeting (Luxembourg)

It was great to welcome our Board of Directors and Members’ Committee to Luxembourg recently!

During our time there we focused on many important topics including the successful launch of West Hull and it’s progress to date, developing the Clubs IT strategy and how we can better use digitalisation and data, the Club’s strong Q2 results as well as our approach to the forthcoming renewal.

The interaction with the Managers to ensure the Club's objectives and business priorities continue to deliver added value for the Membership is a critical part of our strategy and we were delighted with the progress we made during this meeting.

The Seamen's Church Institute’s Mountain challenge (Vermont)

Well done to Paul Barnes, Alton Peralta and Patrick J. McNamara for finishing/surviving the The Seamen's Church Institute’s Mountain challenge!

‘’We were thrilled to participate in (and complete!) the 2023 SCI Mountain Challenge. The event was a wonderful opportunity for our industry to come together and support the noble work performed by the SCI on behalf of the World’s seafarers. We look forward to the next challenge!’’ - Patrick J. McNamara

So far they have raised an impressive $1,275 for the Seamen’s Church Institute, which provides vessel visits, hospitality, advocacy, and education on behalf of the World’s seafarers.

The challenge involved a 2-day long 20+ mile hike and canoeing endurance race, ascending 3000 ft a day in the pouring rain up Mount Snow in Vermont.
