West of England Raises Money for the Sailors Society

The Club is pleased to announce that the Three Peaks Team, of Tony Paulson, Simon Parrott and Peter Newell successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of the Sailors’ Society over the weekend of 21st – 22nd June 2008. The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing three of the highest peaks in the UK (Ben Nevis, Hellvelyn and Snowdon) within 24 hours.

Despite the atrocious weather conditions on Hellvelyn and Snowdon, the team completed the challenge raising a sum in excess of £15,000 for the Sailors Society. The managers and the team would like to thank all our Members, staff, friends and corporate sponsors who kindly donated to this very worthwhile charity and contributed to the success of the event.
