Further to our news item of 15 June 2017, we are pleased to report that relations between members of the Gulf Co-operation Committee (“GCC”) and Qatar have been renewed.

Following the GCC Summit in AlUla, Saudi Arabi, on 5 January 2021, UAE, Bahrain, Egypt and Saudi Arabia have once again opened their land, sea and air boarders to Qatar.

The restrictions previously reported have therefore been lifted and vessels are free to trade directly between Qatar and other GCC countries.

Members should contact Steve Knaggs at the Club with any specific queries.
