New Loss Prevention Safety Alert Published: Interaction Damage to Vessels Moored Alongside

The Club continues to encounter claims, often costly, where entered vessels are either suffering damage due to the effect of passing vessels in ports, rivers and canals, or are accused of causing damage due to passing too close and / or too fast to moored vessels.

A new Loss Prevention Safety Alert on Interaction Damage to Vessels Moored Alongside has been published which explains the hydrodynamic interaction between a passing and moored vessel, and recommends precautionary measures that should be taken to help prevent such claims occurring.
