New THINK! Loss Prevention Safety Posters Published

A further four posters have been added to the Club’s popular THINK! series of Loss Prevention safety posters, raising awareness of some the common causes of shipboard accidents. Based on requests from Members, the translations of the principal safety message have been increased from ten to twelve languages and now include Greek and Bahasa Indonesia.

The third set of posters in the series cover the following topics:

The importance of
keeping clear of
lines under tension
during mooring
operations

The need to wear
safety shoes when
working, even in
areas where they
may not be
considered
necessary

The refitting and
securing of bottom
plates in machinery
spaces each time
they are lifted

Ensuring
procedures are
followed when
isolating electrical
circuits prior to
commencing
maintenance

Members will be sent complimentary sets of all four posters for their vessels. Further hard copies may be obtained by contacting the Loss Prevention Department or downloaded as PDF files from the Club’s website.
