Ukraine – Ports currently unaffected by unrest in Kiev

Our local correspondents Dias Marine Consulting have kindly advised us that whilst the situation in many parts of the country remains grave, ports appear to functioning normally at present. They say that:

“All major ports are located in the south and south-eastern parts of Ukraine and function in the usual manner. So far in these regions no deviations from the usual in the political, social or economical spheres of everyday life are observed. Ports of Odessa, Ilyichevsk, Yuzhny, Nikolaev, Dneprobugskiy, Oktyabrskiy, Mariupol, Berdyansk, and the others, work in accordance with the usual schedule. “

Nevertheless, seafarers going ashore in these ports should avoid any demonstrations or public gatherings they may encounter. Members fixed to call at Ukrainian ports are advised to monitor the situation closely.
